Agronomic Journey

Agronomy is a Journey, because there is no actual destination.  Everyone is at a different point along their Journey.  Regardless where you are located,  what your current Yield Goals are, understanding basic applied agronomy can help one better understand a field and listen to what it needs.  Good agronomy is the glue that holds high yields together.

MISSION

To create value, as a highly skilled and passionate agronomist, together we will build strong customer relations and create solutions: Explore, Discover, Create, Collaborate and Deliver. Strong relationships are built on integrity, forward thinking and action-based commitments. With these accomplishments, we will enjoy the profitable growth necessary to sustain performance over time.

Conducting Agronomic audits

Some people have a philosophy, "If you don't go looking for a problem you won't find a problem".  If you want to grow, you must first discover the agronomic and environmental decisions, that are causing an economic impact.

  • Why didn't this field yield 300 bpa?

  • Why did this NEW hybrid underperform by 15 bpa?

  • Why is my Yield /1,000 seeds / acre so low?

  • How can Nitrogen be my limiting factor?

Influence key decisions.

  • When should I plant corn, to minimize risk while improving APH and ROI?

  • What density should I plant, to Improve Yield /1,000 seeds invested?

  • How should I manage nitrogen to support 3/4 Milk Line?

Evaluating & Validating Value

A product will always make the Manufacturer money, how often will it make a Grower money?

  • Setting up On-Farm Discovery projects.

  • Understand and use agronomic data.

  • Better data in, is Better data out
